You can hear the voices and still miss the conversation.
A focused one-month program for adults who still struggle with background noise, rapid speech, groups, or other difficult conversations, even when hearing aids are helping.
Hearing aids can provide important access to sound, but they do not create perfect hearing. Listening in noise, following fast speech, keeping up in groups, and recovering when you miss part of a conversation may still require additional skills.
Listen With Confidence combines structured Lace Pro auditory training with five private coaching sessions to help you strengthen listening skills and use practical communication strategies in the situations that matter most to you.
Hearing better does not always make conversation easy
You may be doing many things right, wearing your hearing aids, paying close attention, and trying hard to keep up, while some conversations still leave you frustrated, uncertain, or exhausted.
You lose track of conversation in restaurants or groups
Fast or unclear speech is difficult to follow
You feel drained after sustained listening
You are unsure whether you heard something correctly
You hesitate to ask people to speak differently or clarify
You sometimes sit back or withdraw from situations you want to enjoy
Why coaching matters
Lace Pro trains listening. Coaching helps you use those skills in real life.
Lace Pro provides structured practice for challenging listening tasks. That training is an important part of Listen With Confidence.
Your real goal, however, is not simply to become better at exercises on a screen. It is to communicate more successfully with the people you care about, handle difficult situations more effectively, and stay engaged when listening becomes challenging.
That is where personalized coaching adds value.
Lace Pro provides the training. Dr. Larry helps you turn that training into better communication in real life.
Each week, you look at what actually happened in your conversations, what worked, what was difficult, and what you can try differently next time.

Goals, baseline, and Lace Pro setup
Identify the conversations you most want to improve, establish your starting point, set up Lace Pro, begin an exercise together, and create your practice routine.
2
Communication repair
Review your first week and learn practical ways to respond when you miss part of a conversation instead of guessing or giving up.
3
Environment and partners
Work with positioning, background noise, hearing technology, and specific ways family members or other communication partners can help.
4
Confidence and self-advocacy
Practice asking clearly for what you need, staying engaged when you miss words, and approaching difficult conversations with greater confidence.
5
Progress and continuing plan
Review what has changed, identify the strategies that help you most, and create a practical plan for continuing your progress.
Real conversations become part of the program
Each week, you choose a real-life listening situation to observe or practice in, perhaps a family dinner, restaurant, meeting, phone call, church service, or conversation with someone important to you. At the next session, you and Dr. Larry look at what happened and decide what to keep, change, or try next.

Experienced, personal guidance
Why work with Dr. Larry?
Dr. Lawrence Cardano is a Doctor of Audiology and Hearing Loss Coach who has spent more than 30 years helping adults address hearing and communication challenges.
During those years, he repeatedly saw that even well-fit hearing aids could not solve every difficulty people experienced in background noise, groups, rapid speech, relationships, and everyday life.
His work now brings together audiology experience, structured listening practice, practical communication strategies, confidence-building, and personalized coaching.
The focus is not simply on hearing more sound. It is helping you use the hearing you have, the technology available to you, and more effective communication strategies so you can stay involved with the people and activities that matter to you.

The standard investment for the complete one-month Listen With Confidence program is $995. This includes five private coaching sessions of approximately 60 minutes each, unlimited lifetime access to science-backed Lace Pro auditory training, personal setup and orientation, weekly review of your training, personalized communication and confidence strategies, real-world practice assignments, accountability, and a personalized continuing plan.
Enrollment begins with a complimentary Clarity Conversation to determine whether the program is a good fit for your needs. Why would I need coaching if I already have Lace Pro?
Lace Pro provides structured auditory training. Coaching helps you connect that training with the communication situations that matter in your life. Dr. Cardano helps you identify personal goals, interpret what happens in real conversations, develop communication strategies, work through barriers, stay accountable, and decide what to try next. The goal is not simply to complete exercises. It is to become more effective and confident in everyday communication.
Is this a hearing test or hearing-aid service?
No. The program does not include hearing testing, hearing-aid fitting, or medical treatment. It focuses on listening practice, communication strategies, confidence, and follow-through. If your hearing technology or hearing health needs attention first, Dr. Cardano may recommend that as your next step.
Do I need to wear hearing aids to participate?
Many participants use hearing aids, although hearing-aid use is not the only factor that determines fit. Some people who have difficulty in challenging listening situations may also benefit from listening and communication training. The complimentary conversation will help determine whether the program matches your current needs and goals.
How much time does Lace Pro require?
A practical routine is generally about 15 to 20 minutes per day, at least five days per week during the one-month program. Dr. Cardano can help you establish a routine that is realistic and sustainable.
Can a spouse or family member be involved?
Yes, when appropriate. Communication is a shared activity. Dr. Cardano may help you identify simple ways a spouse, family member, or other important communication partner can make conversations easier and more successful. Lace Pro also provides opportunities to incorporate familiar voices into some training activities.
Will the program make every conversation easy?
No. Hearing aids, auditory training, and communication strategies cannot eliminate every difficult listening situation. The goal is to strengthen your skills, improve the way you respond when communication becomes difficult, and help you participate with greater confidence. Individual experiences and results vary.
What happens after the month is over?
You retain unlimited lifetime access to the Lace Pro auditory-training program. During the final coaching session, you and Dr. Cardano review what has helped, identify areas that still need attention, and create a personalized plan for continuing to use your listening and communication strategies.
What happens if Listen With Confidence is not the right fit?
The complimentary conversation is designed to help determine fit. If another step makes more sense, such as returning to your hearing care provider, addressing hearing technology, or beginning with a simpler communication strategy, Dr. Cardano will tell you that.
